The World Majority is emerging as a powerful, independent bloc in global politics, challenging Western dominance and reshaping international order amid evolving alliances and geopolitical shifts.
The unfortunate reality is that Nationalism almost always means wars. The arc of civilization is to unite — not fragment. Nationalism inherently means fragmentation which causes social tensions which inevitably lead to wars (typically due to the strong nations taking advantage of the weaker ones).
Technology has united the world, but we still live in the archaic nationalistic model. Efforts have been made previously to unite the world, but sadly they were all too early to the game to be successful. Hopefully the next round of amalgamation will be the final nail in the coffin of nationalism.
Humanity likely needs to go through this dark chapter of nationalism before we are ready to take the final leap which unites the world — naive perhaps but I dare say it is a long term inevitability (and the sooner the better for society and humanity as a whole).
It’s thoughtful to aim for unity, yet conflating nationalism with national sovereignty overlooks a key distinction. Nationalism can indeed foster divisive tendencies, but national sovereignty—rooted in self-determination—supports a multipolar world without negating cooperation. Technology connects us, but unity doesn’t demand erasing unique identities. Instead, a balanced world order acknowledges each nation’s autonomy within a cooperative global framework, striving for harmony without forced amalgamation.
I agree that is the best approach at the current hour, but for humanity and civilization to reach our full potential we must be under one umbrella.
The Ottoman’s are likely the best teachers for today as to how we should proceed with uniting multi-ethnic and religious groups in my humble opinion (which Putin I dare say is echoing). Accept nations as they are and move forward without dictating change to them — as change will come when the nations are ready to make the next step. The easiest way to make the next step is you create a system so good that nations will be lining up to join as the benefits will be so immense that only the foolish will stay independent.
You're absolutely right – if we can get everyone on the same page, we can really make a difference. But we need a framework that can adapt to different needs and situations. From the BRICS point of view, this umbrella is still the UN, but it needs to be completely overhauled to make it more representative and responsive to the current 'global majority'. If we reform the UN, it'll be easier for countries to work together. They'll want to join because they'll see the benefits, rather than being forced to. That's in line with your ideas on respectful integration.
The UN is archaic and likely needs a refresh, but above my pay grade I dare say to truly comment on. The game must be played as it is — where I am often a naive perfectionist who cannot wait for the next step to be made.
As nations participate as sovereign free agents rather than as victims or victimizers, we are growing a world majority of mature actors. As such, we will create organizations that reflect this new attitude about ourselves. First, we'll continue to act in "our own best interests." Gradually we'll notice that is also good to act in our neighbor's best interest as well. When this way of seeing & acting becomes universally accepted & understood we will have world community.
Hi, much of your text corresponds to my presentation in Valdai. I appreciate that, but as it is working in progress that might be published in the future, it would be nice of you if you could relate that to me. Thank you.
Hi professor, it's a great pleasure to find you here, we also sent you an email to ask for an interview on our YT channel, we really hope to have you with us.
WW4 is the construction of a different way of living....unite the world get on-board !
CMNAFTA was designed to do the exact opposite of what the Canadian and Mexican public were led to believe, 52 million Mexicans were forced below the poverty line while the US Financial Times lauded it as, bloody but booming, meaning bloody for the poor and booming for the rich ! Just another run of the mill euphorism for US economic hegemony. These new types of lawfare are the new slavery, same as the old slavery that Mexico, Africa, Asia, and Latin America have taken to fight, this war against the poor.
In the 90s a Subcomondante Marcos of Mexico summed it up this way, everywhere it's the same and it's very hard to fight, this war he labeled WW4, WW3 he said had been the cold war won by the capitalists, and WW4 was being led by those Victor's, - a war of the markets, the arms companies, the financiers, pushing ahead and destroying countries, cultures, and economies.
In this sense we are seeing the last stages of capitalism, and WW4 is the construction of a different way of globally living. Let's hope this can peacefully be done.....

Appreciate the great analysis — as always 🙏
