The four years of Joe Biden-led Democrat party regime is finally at an end, and so is the American dream of eternal hegemony. Trump may have been the first US President of the 21st century who did not start any new wars. But Joe Biden raised the standards and became the first US President to bring Russians, Chinese, Indians, Arabs, Africans, South Americans and every other nation under one roof. Seeking an alternative world order with BRICS+, a collective of different nationalities and ethnicities genuinely felt the urge to push back against the unipolar Western-centric world order. Credit to Joe Biden where it is due. Even citizens from America’s allied countries in Europe, Australia and Canada are flustered with the US policy of openly funding proxy wars with the help of an unpegged fiat dollar world reserve currency.
Almost all analysts and experts opine that Joe Biden is now trying to spread chaos so that Trump will have a tough time cleaning up after him. However, when viewed from a different perspective, BRICS+ wouldn’t have mobilized if American policies had some semblance of sanity.
Luckily, the trend is set to continue in Trump 2.0 hinting at a bright future for a multipolar world.
Trump’s Pussy-footing Statements During His Election Campaign
During the course of his presidential campaign, Trump’s statements seemed like what Americans generally term “pussy-footing”. On one hand, he made strong statements during his rallies to create hype among his supporters. He made the exact opposite statement in a different setting, albeit in a controlled environment with no crowds. Here are some of the finest examples where Trump’s words and deeds were at loggerheads.
Although he was strictly opposed to electric vehicles initially, he changed his tune when Elon Musk, the CEO of one of the EV manufacturing companies decided to endorse him. Incidentally, a significant operation of Tesla’s manufacturing is based out of China.
While Trump kept repeating that manufacturing in the USA was the key to MAGA, he was not only comfortable with the Tesla CEO’s support but also ordered MAGA hats in rallies that were made in China and not made in the USA.
Trump boasted about the Abraham Accords - an agreement that brings all three Abrahamic faiths under one roof. Au contraire, Trump is vehemently against the Iranian government, a nation that is an Islamic country and part of the Abrahamic family.
Trump claimed that he would stop the Ukraine-Russia conflict within 24 hours of taking charge. However, he appointed Keith Kellogg — a former General of the US Army who, before his recent appointment, advocated that Ukraine should strike deep into Russian territory. However, since his appointment, Kellogg has toned down his anti-Russia stance. Even Google has stepped in and switched the algorithms to hide his past statements.
Trump consistently berated China during his campaigns but extended a farcical invite to the Chinese President for his inauguration ceremony. This invitation was extended despite threatening 100% tariffs on Chinese goods sold in the US.
Trump made headlines when he praised Indian PM Modi a couple of times in front of Indian-American voters and even blurted out randomly in some podcast that ‘Modi will meet him’ when the Indian PM was scheduled to visit the US in September 2024. But in his other speeches, he also threatened tariffs on Indian products while labeling India as one of the biggest abusers.
The Good Cop Bad Cop Routine Begins With Indian-Americans, A Lesson For Other BRICS+ Nations
Trump announcing Americans of Indian origin in key positions of his team, a decision based purely on merit and not DEI, sent a positive signal. Most Indians and Indian Americans also felt that Trump will not entertain American terrorists threatening bomb blasts in Indian airplanes in the name of Khalistani separatism.
But something unexpected happened on Christmas Eve. Following in the footsteps of Bangladesh’s Islamist Jamaat and Justin Trudeau’s Khalistani voting block, some of Trump’s ardent supporters and hardcore MAGA’ites began inciting the Anglo-Saxon Americans against Indian-Americans. Genuine efforts were made to portray that legally immigrated Indians with an H1B visa are responsible for America’s jobless claims and homelessness. And, of course, they have already established that China is responsible for the deaths of drug-addicted Americans. These MAGA’ites have completely shifted their focus from illegal immigration, human trafficking, and child sex trafficking through southern borders to legal immigrants who contribute to the American economy (Indians in this particular case).
At first look, it might seem that MAGA’ites crusaders are LARPing the recently released Hollywood propaganda movie, Civil War. However, the sudden outburst by Trump supporters against Indian-Americans who also support Trump, on X (a platform owned by another Trump supporter) is too shady to be a genuine grievance. And that too, during Christman Eve when Dr Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister of India is on a week-long visit to the USA.
The Real Reason For Hatred Against Indian-Americans & India In General
External Affairs Minister of India, Dr. S Jaishankar is visiting the United States between Dec 24 - 29, 2024. This 6-day trip will be his last international visit of 2024 and the final in-person interaction with his counterparts from the outgoing Biden-led Democrat regime. Although the Ministry of External Affairs of India has not disclosed the specifics or the agenda, Dr Jaishankar will most likely assess the probability of events yet to unfold once Donald Trump takes the oath as the 47th President of the US.
Earlier this year, India’s foreign minister was also present in the USA between Sept 21-30, 2024 accompanying the Indian Prime Minister. While in the US, Modi met with American business leaders, and addressed the Indian-American diaspora, while choosing to ignore the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) being held a few blocks away and returning home to India on Sept 23, 2024. Dr S Jaishankar delivered the UNGA address for India on Sept 28 and lambasted the rich developed Western colonial nations and their subservient multi-lateral institutions over their continued indifference to the problems faced by the Global South.
In June 2023, during his address to the US Congress, PM Modi put it on the US parliamentary records that he has single-handedly done more people-centric development in less than 10 years than all of the Western leaders collectively over the last 20 years. The number of people in India who have benefited from government-sponsored housing schemes, medical insurance, digital infrastructure as well as COVID-19 vaccination is multiple times higher than the people living in North America and Europe.
“Let me share with you how this vision is translating into action, with speed and scale. We are focusing on infrastructure development. We have given nearly forty million homes to provide shelter to over hundred and fifty million people. That is nearly six times the population of Australia!

We took banking to the unbanked with the world’s largest financial inclusion drive. Nearly five hundred million people benefited. This is close to the population of North America!
We have worked on building Digital India. Today, there are more than eight hundred and fifty million smart phones and internet users in the country. This is more than the population of Europe!
We protected our people with two point two billion doses of Made in India COVID vaccines, and that too free of cost! I may be running out of continents soon, so I will stop here!“

As per the latest post on X by Dr. Jaishankar after a meeting with Consul Generals in the US, the EAM stated that the Indian Embassy is prepared to better serve the Indian community in the USA. India is the only country that has successfully evacuated Indian citizens as well as citizens of other nationalities from war-torn and conflict-ridden environments. Be it temporarily pausing the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the civil war in Sudan, or the COVID-19 pandemic - India has always safely evacuated its citizens. Needless to say, the Indian Embassy in the US is competent and prepared to evacuate legally immigrated Indian citizens to the US from MAGA’ites instigated racial wars.
Conclusion
Before leaving on his visit to the US, Dr. Jaishankar’s statement in a speech on Sept 22, 2024, seems to resonate with the ongoing pressure tactics against legal Indian migrants.
“Independence should also never be confused for neutrality. We will do what is right in our national interest and for global good, without being intimidated to conform. In the final analysis, Bharat can never permit others to have a veto on our choices”.
Each of the RIC countries has a unique way of asserting their dominance over the West. Russia is fighting a kinetic battle with the West whereas China is fighting an economic battle. India is taking a peaceful civilizational approach. What 45 Presidents of the US couldn't achieve for over 200+ years despite waging wars everywhere in the world, one Indian in less than 10 years has overshadowed without a single bullet shot. And this message was conveyed strongly and peacefully inside the American Congress; reminiscent of Swami Vivekananda’s speech in 1893 during the first World's Parliament of Religions held in Chicago.
